We will respond to every submission—a short "GOT IT,"
just to let you know we received your piece. |
| 3.
Even if we LOVE your piece and want to include it on FRESH YARN,
because of the large volume of submissions we receive, it may
take awhile to get back to you. So please be patient. |
| 4.
Submissions by email only. And NO ATTACHMENTS, please. Paste
your piece into the body of the email. We will not open attachments. |
| 5.
Please include your name, contact information, and any previous
publishing history and/or any kind of credits that could be
interesting to FRESH YARN readers. |
| 6.
If we choose to include your piece, we will then need a pic
of yourself and a short bio. |
| 7.
If accepted, your piece will be featured on the front page of
FRESH YARN for three weeks, then included in the archives. |
| 8.
If your piece is accepted, we will proofread and copyedit it.
We may make minor punctuation and spelling fixes. If anything
further than that, we will run changes by you first for your
final approval. |
| 9.
By submitting a piece, you grant us your consent to publish
it on FRESH YARN, free of compensation (nobody's gettin' paid
around here!) You will retain all rights, and are free to publish
the piece anywhere else as long as you put forth your best effort
to make sure that "Originally published on FreshYarn.com"
(along with the year) accompanies the piece. |
| 10.
If your piece is accepted, you agree to give FRESH YARN right
of first refusal to include your piece in a book anthology/collection
of personal essays before allowing it to be published in any
other book anthology/collection of personal essays. |
| 11.
We only include pieces that have not been previously published.
This includes other websites and blogs. Note the FRESH in
FRESH YARN! |
| 12.
By submitting a piece, you are acknowledging that you solely
own the copyright and agree to the above guidelines. |
